My goal as a clinician is to help guide my clients on their own healing journeys toward self-exploration and acceptance. My practice is open to adults, adolescents, and couples. I have experience working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence, self-esteem, addiction, personality disorders, trauma disorders, depression, and anxiety.
I carry an integrative approach to therapy to include such techniques; brainmapping and neurofeedback, client centered, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), motivational interviewing, accudetox, and mind body connectedness.
Understanding that each person’s journey is unique, my goal is to tailor my approach to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, or life transitions, I am here to provide guidance and support. Our aim will be to empower you to make positive changes, enhance your well-being, and achieve a healthier, more fulfilling life. Together, we will work towards overcoming obstacles and building resilience, ensuring that you feel heard, understood, and valued throughout the therapeutic process.
I pride myself on a holistic approach grounded in principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), all while remaining strengths-based and client-centered. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples/families.
Empowering people to become the fullest and most authentic versions of themselves, throughout the challenges and triumphs that make up the human experience, is the true joy of working with people in a therapeutic environment. My experience as a trauma-informed yoga instructor as well as with addiction recovery and life coaching grounds my practical and holistic approach, considering the unique aspects of each individual and helping them heal and push past perceived barriers to reach their highest potential. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health, I assist clients as a Neurofeedback Technician.
Starting the journey toward healing and growth can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to provide a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can feel heard, respected, and empowered. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in both Colorado and Arkansas, with experience working across the lifespan—from children and adolescents to adults of all ages. I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients in residential treatment programs, outpatient settings, and school-based programs. These diverse experiences have shaped my holistic, trauma-informed approach to care.
I have a special passion for working with teens and adults, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, and severe mental illness, including schizophrenia spectrum disorders and other psychotic disorders. I strive to create a safe and empowering space where healing can happen at your pace.
I use evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and motivational interviewing to help clients build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward their goals with confidence and clarity.
If searching for a therapist feels overwhelming, you’re not alone. I strive to create a therapy space that’s approachable, collaborative, and grounded in real life.
I’m Katherine, a Licensed Social Worker and registered yoga teacher. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy that considers both the mind and the body.
I draw from approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In plain terms, this means helping you understand and work with anxious or unhelpful thoughts, build emotional regulation skills, tolerate distress more effectively, and reconnect with what matters most to you. I also integrate mindfulness, meditation, and somatic practices when helpful.
I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, life transitions, and serious mental illness. My background includes working with survivors of domestic violence, children and teenagers who have experienced severe trauma, and veterans navigating complex mental health challenges. As a veteran myself, I bring a strong understanding of military culture and the unique stressors that can come with service and reintegration.
My style is compassionate, practical, and down to earth. We’ll always move at your pace and focus on tools that actually fit your life. If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you build a more values aligned, meaningful life, I’d be glad to connect.
